How your kids milestones can make Moms stagnate!

I recall when my children were babies, and sometimes when I see a baby or toddler, I wish my kids were that age again. I have a book of milestones for each of my children.

This book documented first words, first foods, and when they took their first steps.  I admit that documenting fell short with each child, and many of those milestones did not make it to the book.

However, we took as many photos as possible and recorded every critical moment.  As I think back, have I been overwhelmed in every little detail of my kids' lives that I forgot to nurture my own?  Was I so fascinated by their growth that I stagnated my personal development?

I was so careful to document it all, to be so engrossed with their lives that I forgot to live my own.  As moms, we are so caught up in every tiny detail that we forget that the details in our own lives matter just as much.  If you go to your family calendar, I'm sure the events on there are that of your children.

As a mom, there is nothing wrong with documenting and living in our children's milestones, just don't get lost in them and forget about the nurturing that you need as a Mom.

Until next time Mom Tribe, stay well.
