Because of the COVID virus, I have supported my 3rd grader with digital learning since March 2020, and it's hard! Before this, I worked full-time outside of the home, and my children attended school in a traditional school setting.
However, once the unknowns of the virus and the potential effect it may have on our families were revealed, we decided the best route for us was to go digital. I definitely do not regret it at all, as the quality time that I have had with her has been most memorable.
Although I know this is a temporary situation for my kid, I think of the moms that have chosen to homeschool their kids full-time, and let me tell you, Mom, my hat, gloves, coat, and scarf is off to you! You rock!

The amount of patience it takes as a mom that is teaching her kids is undeniable and super commendable. Of course there are times in which we lose our cool, as do most moms, but I have grown as a Mom through this experience.
I have learned more about my child as a person, the way she learns and how she thrives and I have been able to be there as she does well on a test and ease her anxiety during those times. I am also there when she does not understand what is being taught and may need the extra attention.
All in all, I would not undo these memories for anything as I believe this time has brought us closer together and has provided with a stronger bond then we had before. So to all my moms that have chosen to home school their child, I see you and appreciate you!
