How those "additional" conversations can be hurting our children.

As Moms, our kids are involved in many activities, which means we inherit the Moms and the drama that comes with those activities as well, unfortunately.

It goes without saying there is always some parent who does extra things that get their kids noticed by the coach or teacher.  But are our efforts doing more harm than good?  Are we indirectly saying to our kids that their talent is not enough?

I often think of the messages that we are sending to our young girls, and how this behavior can lead them to believe that they are not enough, their talents are not enough.

Are we teaching our young kids that the only way to get what you want is to do something you may not be comfortable with?

Make sure your kids know that their talent is good enough and if it is not, have that talk with them about working harder or finding another passion.
