Are you decent?
Your decency has nothing to do with them deserving it. - Rigel J. Dawson
So many times, we measure the way people treat us on how we should respond to them, but should it be that way? Some of my siblings would call my mom when they needed something and not just find out how she was regularly doing.
I always admired my mom for not treating them how they treated her. I couldn't understand why she didn't dish out the same energy they served to her for years.
But then I finally got it. We are all responsible and judged for what we do. I also realized we have to stop wanting an apple tree to produce oranges and then get mad about it.
So the next time someone doesn't deserve your decency, give it to them anyway. It's the same as giving them your forgiveness. It's not for them. It's for you.
Until Next Time Mom Tribe, choose Decency!
