Motivational Monday - Are you protecting your heart?

My husband is an introvert and is so good at doing this. His personality allows people to show who they are by him remaining silent. Me on the other hand, I have had to learn this behavior.

I was so caught up in taking someone's word for it that when it fell through, I was disappointed.  It was hard for me to embrace that people would not live up to their promised words.

I realized that expecting people to follow through on their own words only leads to disappointment. So instead of living with the heartache of broken promises, observe a person by their actions. It's easy on the heart!
