Tipsy Tuesday: It's time to make a change!

I need to say that again for the people in the back!  We often complain about things that we do not like, but there are some things that we are choosing to accept.

How? Because we failed to make the decisions necessary to change the course.  I have worked in corporate America my entire career, and I recall a girl who was an assistant complaining about her not getting a raise or bonus.  

I was in that position, but I decided to finish my degree and have held many corporate manager positions for very well-known companies.  Since making that change, I have gotten several raises and bonuses, and guess what? She is still in that same position today, complaining about how she hasn't gotten a raise.

Sometimes, we expect people to do things for us that we need to do for ourselves.  No one gives you an upper hand in life; you have to take it.  So the next time you are complaining about something, understand that you can also do the necessary work to change.
