Anyone up for a little freedom?

Forgiveness will not happen overnight. It is a journey that occurs over time. And one day, you notice how the negative emotions that person once conjured up inside of you are gone. That's forgiveness.

I got pregnant by my now-husband when I was a teenager, and it was one of the hardest moments of my life.  Although  I was hurt by the vile comments and words that my family said to me during that time, I knew that I had to forgive.

It took me over 10 years to forgive one of my family members and another 6 years for us to speak to each other and have a conversation. I often miss the years that we spent in unforgiveness, but I am happy that we have spent the last few years getting to know each other again.

Forgiveness provided me with a freeness that unforgiveness kept me in bondage to.  Choose freedom and forgiveness. Believe me, it will see you free.
