Give Up! They have already!

When you give up on someone, it's not because you don't care anymore, it's because you realize they don't. - UNKNOWN

We have all had a friend or a family member that we have tried to convince to turn their life around for the better.  It's the same individuals that come to you repeatedly, many times with the same issues, and we give the same advice.

But those conversations tend to be draining, and there are times in which we need to step away from those individuals.  We are not stepping away because we do not care about them, rather because they do not have the courage or strength to care for themselves.  Without that courage, they will not be able to make the change we so desperately want them to make.

The change that they desperately need.  So instead, we can pray for them and be hopeful from afar, wishing that one day they will gain the courage to see that change in their own lives.
